November is when many travellers ask which park offers the best tiger safari on a budget. Post-monsoon, vegetation drops and tigers use main tracks — but park choice still matters more than luck alone.
Tadoba (Maharashtra) — Strong November sightings, competitive jeep rates, good rail access via Nagpur. Budget lodges cluster near Moharli and Khutwanda gates.
Pench (Madhya Pradesh/Maharashtra) — Similar budget profile to Tadoba, slightly more tourist traffic on weekends. Turia gate is the usual base for first-timers.
Bandhavgarh (Madhya Pradesh) — Higher tiger density but lodge prices creep up in peak November weeks. Still workable under ₹25,000 if you book early and choose shared safaris.
Jim Corbett (Uttarakhand) — Closer to Delhi for north India travellers; Dhikala and Bijrani zones differ in price and rules. Budget stays exist in Ramnagar but verify zone permits separately.
Ranthambore — Iconic but expensive in November; ₹25,000 is tight once you add premium zone demand. Consider it only if you find early-bird lodge deals.
Rule of thumb: on a budget, favour one park and four safaris over two parks and two safaris. Compare live park pages below before you commit.
